Adult Education -
Not Active currently. Improve your reading and math skills and work towards getting your GED. Computer classes and tutoring available.
Book Mobile - The second Tuesday of every month, 10:30 - 12 noon.
BridgeFest - Coming to you in August.
Bridgeville Newsletter - A monthly newsletter for the community and by the community. Information on local events happening in and around Bridgeville. Includes articles on health and well-being, school news, local history, and other articles of interest. To read it online, please email bridgevillenews@yahoo.com for monthly link.
CERT - Community Emergency Response Team, Bridgeville Chapter
Clothes Closet -
Free clothes and shoes are available. Just call or stop by to take advantage of this service. We also accept donations of gently used clothes and shoes in good condition.
Community Room -
A place to hold community meetings, classes, or special events. TV/VCR, Washer/Dryer, Shower available.
Computers - The Community Center has two computers for public use, with access to the Internet and word processing programs. The world is at your fingertips. No Charge.
Dolly Parton Imagination Library, Humboldt County Affiliate- sends books to children aged from newborn till they turn five, once a month, free of charge to the parents.
Family Support - We provide support to families and individuals in need of information and resources. We can help community members connect with health and social services.
First 5 Play Group - Mondays, 9:30am - 12 noon.
Food Bank/Pantry -
The Community Center acts as a Food Bank offering USDA Commodities once a month on Fridays (usually the third Friday, after the third Thursday, call for date or check newsletter). Additional food programs are also available for seniors, homebound people, and children aged 0 to 5 years old.
Hospice -
Not active currently. We are looking for a new director. If you are interested, please contact us. Two Rivers Community Care Group (TRCCG)
An all-volunteer hospice community group.
Dedicated to serving those families and individuals facing life threatening or life altering illnesses, including those needing palliative or end of life care. Through assisting our clients' families to become the best caregivers they can, we seek to facilitate people staying in their own homes and following their own wishes in the face of life's most challenging times. Serving folks from Little Golden Gate east to South Fork Mtn and south to Ruth, including Hettenshaw Valley. Neighbors Helping Neighbors. Always looking for volunteers to help with hospice care.
Imagination Library - The Bridgeville Community Center is partnering with Dolly’s Imagination Library to fundraise and make books available to children in Humboldt County who are between 0 and 5 years old. We will be working with other community members. Go to ImaginationLibrary.com to sign up.
Community Lunch - Potluck lunch on the last Thursday of the month, 11:30am.
Senior Lunch -
The senior group has reformed, they meet the second Thursday at 11:30, and last Thursday of the month (at the community pot-luck), lunch and activities.
Showers - We have a shower available.
Substance Abuse Group -The Gathering, Fridays 2:00 at Bridgeville Baptist Church on Blocksburg Road just off Highway 36.
Teen, Pre-Teen & Pre-School Play Groups -
Not Currently Active. A play group for parents with pre-school age children, a pre-teen group and a teen group, meet twice a month and provide an opportunity for parents and their children to connect with other families.
Town Trips -
Not currently active. The Community Center van trips to town have been suspended and no longer running until further notice.
Van Duzen Watershed Fire Safe Council - Not currently Active. The Fire Safe Council provide free home and property inspections and conduct brush clearing and fire safety projects
Washer Dryer - Calling ahead and scheduling is recommended.
